Pertronic Industries Pty Limited is proud to announce that it has been appointed by Honeywell Security and Fire as an authorised distributor for VESDA and OSID products in Australia and New Zealand. This distribution arrangement was implemented following the Honeywell Security and Fire purchase of Xtralis. Xtralis manufacture VESDA aspirating smoke detectors and OSID multi-beam detectors.

Pertronic customers can now order VESDA and OSID products as part of a complete package including fire indicator panel, point detectors, and other peripherals.

The OSID detector (above) uses multiple optical beams to detect smoke in large open spaces. The detector features ball-and-socket mounts for quick and simple beam alignment.

 An aspirating smoke detector incorporates an air sampling system that continuously draws air from the controlled environment into the detector chamber through a sampling pipe. The VESDA-E range incorporates advanced high sensitivity detection and higher levels of immunity to nuisance particles. The VESDA-E VEP (above) is available with single and four-pipe sampling inputs.
